Hola and Hi. Who am I?
I am The Chingona Homesteader.
(aka Nacho Mama)
Ok, really? My name is Margo.
I'm many things: mom, wife, producer, designer, Latina, on-air host, activist, writer and more. In other words, a proper Chingona.* So far I've lived a life full of creativity, salsa and bellylaughs, with just enough drama to make me want to stick around until the end (You can read my whole story HERE). Along the way I've picked up an EXTREMELY diverse collection of interests, which you'll no doubt read about on this blog.
For nearly a decade I blogged as Nacho Mama at ShesNachoMama.com, and that was FANTASTIC.
But now I'm ready for something new. At least as far as my blogging life is concerned.
Come along with me as I endeavor to conquer new frontiers:
Attempting to grow things!
Attempting to cook things!
Attempting to do without things!
Attempting to change things!
All while reconnecting with my family history.
So bring your friends and stay a while. You don't have to use a coaster, but you do have to be nice to each other. The Chingona Homesteader doesn't have time for pushy, sanctimonious nonsense. She's far too busy over-consuming coffee and writing about herself in the third person.

*Don't know what "Chingona" means? Most definitions found on the web are quite tame. In my family culture, "Chingona" always meant a woman who does whatever she wants and doesn't give a fudge what anyone else thinks about it. Only we didn't say "fudge".
